Mission
The Scarsdale Schools Education Foundation supports the District by funding innovative programs and facilities that enhance the academic and personal growth of our students and the role of our school system as a national leader in public education. The Foundation seeks to enrich the value of a Scarsdale education by raising funds and awarding grants to programs and initiatives that fall outside the budget of the District.
Goals
- Fund projects that fall outside the District budget in three areas: research & development/innovation, technology, and physical infrastructure
- Work closely with the Board of Education and District to identify priority programs that enhance teaching, inspire learning, strengthen the curriculum or provide financial assistance for facilities and equipment
- Determine with District staff the appropriate levels of funding to achieve the educational goals of the proposed programs
- Underwrite new initiatives in the Scarsdale schools with the approval of the Board of Education
